An organic candy bar? Oh yes.
Crispy Cat bars are dairy free and gluten free, and they definitely hit the spot when I'm craving something sweet and crunchy! I've recently tried the "Chocolate Sundae" bar - it tastes like a rice crispy treat with a dark chocolate coating. I was impressed by how crunchy the granola was as the "crunch" sensation is often lacking in gluten-free alternatives. The bars can be purchased online directly from the company.
I'm not quite sure what to make of it, but a blog article claims the Crispy Cat company changed hands in 2009 and everyone was let go. Hopefully the candy bars will live on!

ReplyDeleteTheir labeling is FALSE and could make you very very sick. The wrappers boast a large "gluten-free" label on the front but have a tiny "may contain traces of wheat" label on the back. Please do not endorse this company until they remove this false labeling or else truly make their products gluten-free. Think of the negative impact this will have on every Celiac's shopping experience if we allow such misleading labeling! I think this is an extremely unsettling and underhanded way to exploit the gluten-free "fad" diet and possibly make hundreds of Celiacs very sick. Please send comments in to the company!
I second the above comment. Please do not buy these bars and send an email to the company. What they're doing is so dangerous and unethical. I just emailed them.
